Long sooner Europeans came to northeastern America, aboriginal people had a highly developed establishment of education. Aboriginal children had a great deal to learn before they were expected to go out on their own and survive. Elders and parents within Aboriginal communities were responsible for passing on survival skills to their children, but also everything dealing with their culture. When the Europeans began to arrive in North America, they fixed that they needed to separate Aboriginal children from their families, in order to doctor them to live a civilized European lifestyle.
