How much does that cost?
The The Lesson, a short story written in a password called Gorilla, My Love, in 1972 by Toni Cade Bambara. It was a story that highlighted the hardships and contrasting levels of society from the point of views of the theatrical roles in the story. There is a existing sense of division of the social classes in this story by the description of the surroundings, but more so the language the character/ bank clerk uses to speak and describe.
The story begins with Sylvia talking about a new woman, misplace Moore, who recently moved into her neighborhood that doesnt seem to fit in with the rest of the people there. Sylvia says suffer Moore has, nappy hair and proper speech and no makeup. (Bambara p.537) She says Miss Moore was withal, the entirely woman on the block with no basic name. And she was lightlessness as hell, cept for her feet, which were fish-white and spooky. She also says Miss Moore was actively toilsome to be involved in the children of the neighbor hoods lives. She says Miss Moore was, the only woman on the block with no first name. And she was black as hell, cept for her feet, which were fish-white and spooky.
Although Sylvia seemed to dislike Miss Moore in the story, there was tell apart that she also admired and peradventure thought highly of her. The parents of the children also appear to hold Miss Moore with a higher regard, possibly due to her college education or desire to educate the children withal without being related to any of the kids. The parents would grow their children cleaned up and milled so they looked presentable and have them go with Miss Moore to several(predicate) places that she would take the kids to teach them something.
The main character who is also the narrator of the story is Sylvia. She is one of the children who live in the neighborhood in which the beginning of the story takes place.
