The first Hammurabis code I chose was If anyone ensnare another,
set a ban upon him, but if he cannot prove it, then he that ensnared him shall be put
to death. The first code in my own interpretation means that if psyche accuses another
individual but cannot prove the person committed a crime then the accuser will be put to
death. I feel this legality is not good. Just because a person cannot prove crime is not a good
enough reason to sentence someone to death. If someone cant prove guilt it does not
needs mean a person didnt commit a crime. I also feel this law should not be apply
today, because what if the person who is being accused is guilty?
It is the courts job
to patch up a guilty or not guilty plea. other reason I feel this law should not be
used today is, putting a person to death for a crime such as this is unethical. Because
of the fact there are more crimes that are worse than this, such as murder, and rape

someones guilt. Also I believe this law is saying if another person cannot prove
guilt and the person is indeed guilty, the innocent person is the one who pays the
consequences.
